Lately our DM is always full of links to Instagram profiles for us to discover new brands and give them coverage. “Mention in the comments that brand or that designer and we’ll take care of the rest,” we posted on our profile earlier this 2023. In less than 24 hours we received almost 1500 comments from the young promises that are making it big in the national fashion industry. With the aim that all these interesting projects are not lost in our DMs, every month we choose 6 emerging brands and give them their space in HIGHXTAR.
This month, we have decided to pay tribute to brands that have made upcycling their way of life. All of them are dedicated to give a second life to leftover textiles and luxury pieces. Here is our 6 emerging brands of December 2023!
1. Espíritu Club
Part of the essence of Espiritu Club is transformation, adaptation and change. That is why the brand will change according to the concerns and needs of today’s world. In this way, its founder, a woman from Lima who decided to set up bases in Barcelona, launched EC to commit to sustainability and change the world through her designs.
2. ERRRES
The name of this brand comes from the three “R’s”: reduce, reuse and recycle. Mireia conceived ERRRES as a project to create small collections that tell the story of a concept. In this small brand based in Madrid, they select quality garments and work on them to give them a new life.
3. NUOVO PARIS
NUOVO is a second-hand shop that carefully selects rare designer pieces from the 90s and 2000s. But it also makes small capsules of clothes at affordable prices. If you’re going to Paris and looking for an eco-friendly alternative to fast fashion, Nuovo is definitely the place for you.
4. Marcia
Marcia is a Parisian brand founded by Emma Reynaud with the desire to pay homage to women by offering them sustainable yet sexy clothing. The founder’s wish is for women to feel strong, free and unique in her designs, where the priority is to recycle fabrics endlessly to avoid creating any excess material.
5. Collectivo Paris
Collectivo is a fashion studio dedicated to young creations, located in the Saint-Ouen flea market in Paris. The collective has two areas of activity, its “Atelier” and “Vintage” lines. In the first, each designer of the collective creates unique 100% recycled pieces for everyday use, which are produced locally in Paris to order or in very small runs. For its “Vintage” line, the collective’s second-hand collectors carefully select luxury pieces to create an eclectic wardrobe with character.
6. Alfie
This Paris-based brand is dedicated to creating luxury pieces exclusively from the surplus stock of high-end fashion houses. The pieces they create are collectible as they are produced in limited quantities depending on the amount of fabric available, so each collector’s item is numbered and therefore unique.
