Well, the day has come, guys. Last Emerging Brands of the year! As you know, we created this space in HIGHXTAR with the aim that all the interesting projects that we saw and came to us, would not stay lost in our Instagram, just like that. So, we started to choose 6 emerging brands every month and give them their space in HIGHXTAR. Here are the ones for December 2024! We hope the new year comes with many more fashion discoveries, which we know you love!
1. Pierre Bassene
Pierre Bassene offers a visual manifesto: “This is your everyday uniform”. His approach democratizes streetwear with garments that function as tools of minimal yet powerful expression. Each piece reflects a collective and unique spirit, inviting the wearer to leave their personal mark and redefine the meaning of the everyday in fashion.
2. Graal
Graal transcends the labels of a simple clothing brand by fusing very different styles. Inspired by the idea of the Grail, which is the cup used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper, it creates timeless narratives that connect the medieval past with the present of streetwear and the future of fashion.
3. Years of Tears
Syd, the mind behind Years of Tears, has built a brand that blends cultural heritage with references to classic Japanese streetwear. With influences from iconic brands like Bape and Billionaire Boys Club, his denim and leather garments feature skull and skeleton details. Lil Baby, Skepta, Trippie Red and Floyd Mayweather are just some of the celebrities who revere their pieces. But more importantly, through his Discord server, he has built his creative empire. Here, rappers and pioneering designers of the next generation have connected. Beyond apparel, Syd has proven that streetwear can also be a creative and collaborative platform.
4. RFUGEE
Founded by Mohammadamin Eilzadeh, RFUGEE is a deeply personal brand that reinterprets the term “refugee” through fashion. Inspired by the designer’s experiences, each piece is a statement of resilience, showing that difficult experiences can be transformed into something valuable. His garments not only tell stories, but also challenge prejudices, vindicating the power of diversity and art as a tool for social change.
5. Dimoni
From Spain, Dimoni positions itself as a brand that fuses “gym culture” with ultra-feminine elements. Did you notice Nathy Peluso’s picket for the promotion of GRASA? Joan Ribas, its founder, uses recycled materials and sustainable processes to reinterpret classic streetwear garments such as T-shirts, sweatshirts and jeans. His approach reflects how people really dress, focusing on functional fashion that also elevates your everyday look.
6. AION
AION redefines the concept of timelessness in streetwear. The brand combines traditional tailoring techniques with contemporary design that prioritizes functionality and durability. Each AION piece is designed to resist passing trends, offering wearers garments that are not only aesthetically appealing, but also have a sustainable approach. Its philosophy seeks to transcend fashions and become a necessary staple of any modern closet.
