Following the December partnership declaration, Lee and Diesel announce that the new DIESEL❤VES LEE capsule is now available worldwide.

Denim powerhouses Diesel and Lee team up to create a unique capsule

The two denim giants teamed up to create a collection of jeans entirely made from fabrics sourced from both brands’ respective unsold stock. Conceived and crafted to accommodate differences in length and fit, each DIESEL❤VES LEE jean has Diesel denim on the front and Lee on the back, or vice versa. One half Lee, one half Diesel: each pair is unique.

“Lee is proud to be part of this transformative initiative; it is a reflection of our shared commitment to drive meaningful change by bringing our expertise together,” said Simon Fisher, managing director of Lee Europe. “Through this capsule collection, Lee and Diesel are redefining competition by prioritising innovation. By joining forces, we are leveraging our collective strengths to lead by example, one denim at a time.”

As an everyday uniform of modern life, denim is something we all have in common despite our differences. This collaboration represents the power of denim to come together in line with both brands’ commitment to creatively find a new use for unsold excess inventory.

The capsule, which required significant development to harmonise all the different fits, treatments and sizing, has two cuts and four styles that play on the brands’ combined heritage: two straight cuts for men, two boot/flared cuts for women, and features custom piping and unique detailing enriched with unfinished, needle-stitched side seams.

DIESEL❤VES LEE is the first chapter of a new initiative from Diesel: DIESEL❤VES which proposes a more purposeful approach to brand partnerships by applying collective creativity to the perennial problem of overproduction.

“It’s easier to create something new than to reuse a garment,” said Glenn Martens, Diesel’s creative director. “DIESEL❤VES LEE is the ideal opening act for our ongoing call to action with DIESEL❤VES. Two denim giants, often selling the exact same product with different logos, putting aside our guns and coming together to tackle overconsumption and do some good.”
