The waters of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean come together in a capsule collection that speaks of freedom, connection and fluidity.
With Lisi Herrebrugh, Rushemy Botter and the creative team at Desigual at the helm, an aesthetic and cultural exploration emerges, where the ocean serves as a metaphor for unity and constant movement. Each garment embodies this idea of fluidity: designs that expand, with overlapping layers and silhouettes that shun staticity.
The collection also proposes a new language that focuses on recreation: multicoloured patchwork, visible seams, unfinished textures… Everything pays homage to Arte Popera, reminding us that imperfection can also be beautiful.
Waves, currents and the underwater world inspire both the shapes and the prints, and the High Tides approach is radically genderless. These pieces are designed to be combined, taken apart and reinterpreted by whoever wears them. All this is done using recycled fabrics, reused plastics and certified materials that reinforce the idea of a more ethical and responsible fashion.
The blue colour so characteristic of BOTTER takes centre stage. It appears in multiple intensities and takes over prints that capture moments of transition: a breaking wave, a moving shadow, a leap frozen in mid-air…
High Tides is now available exclusively to Desigual Club members, and will hit physical stores and the website on 28 August.
