Diesel returns with Tom of Finland Foundation and The community for Pride 2023

In celebration of Pride 2023, The Community and Tom of Finland Foundation present, in partnership with Diesel, The AllTogether Clubhouse, a group exhibition and daily schedule of events. In addition, on the occasion of this event celebrating queer history, Diesel has once again partnered with Tom Of Finland Foundation on a special Pride 2023 capsule collection.

The AllTogether Clubhouse is a continuation of last year’s collaboration between The Community, Tom of Finland Foundation and Diesel. This joint project presented the first public exhibition, outside of Los Angeles, of erotic and queer art from the Foundation’s permanent collection. Following the success of the 2022 exhibitions in Venice and Paris, this 3rd chapter comes to New York with new works.

The exhibition blends New York’s past and present queer histories. How? With multimedia experience and daily program of talks, screenings, performances and concerts, connecting generations of prominent local figures and organizations. Together, they continue to support and shape the city’s ever-evolving queer scene. Thus, we will find works by artists such as Tom of Finland, Target Studios, Arthur Tress and Pet Silvia. There will also be talks that will put in conversation witnesses of the New York queer scene such as Linda Simpson, Jonathan Weinberg or Lydo, among others.

To celebrate the opening of the Clubhouse, which will open on June 21-25, a Pride 2023 party will take place at Nowadays, Brooklyn. The celebration will have some of New York’s hottest queer artists and party collectives enjoying themselves to the fullest.

And not to be left out of this partnership that celebrates freedom of expression, love and sexuality, Diesel has created a capsule together with Tom of Finland Foundation. The collection specifically celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, a fundamental pillar of Diesel.

The Diesel x Tom of Finland Foundation Pride 2023 collection highlights a new set of artists from the Tom of Finland Foundation’s collection of erotic and queer art, including Stanley Stellar, Michael Mitchell and Tom of Finland himself. Their powerful images, carefully selected with The Community to illustrate gay men in moments of unabashed, social, sexual and romantic freedom and joy, are applied as prints and patchworks on the capsule’s 17 pieces ranging from T-shirts to denim to jockstraps. Each garment contains a special canvas ribbon printed with a quote from the artist.
