Formalisms, workwear and a lot of tailoring. This is Dion Lee’s new proposal presented during New York Fashion Week.
While the AW23 season was inspired by the clubbing scene and evening wear, the SS24 season arrives loaded with versatile formalisms that translate into impeccable asymmetrical shirts, fitted bodysuits, buttoned corset sets, exaggerated blazers and voluminous jeans, among other key pieces. Breaking away from his usual monochromatic palette, the Australian designer has opted for fun metallic textures in vivid shades such as red to create daring dresses and skirts.
Leather boots rise up to the thigh to finish off the extra touch in each look with bulging details and overlapping pockets; while jewelry inspired by scaffolding and “industrial experimentation” takes center stage.
