Dior FW21 renews militarism

Dior FW21 is an ode to the military world in which the softness of the pattern leaves out any warmongering reference.

Kim Jones, artistic director of the maison, invites us to live a connection between past and present in which elegance works as a link. An ode to the military world in which the softness of the pattern leaves out any bellicose reference.

A proposal in which attention to detail does not go unnoticed and in which art and fashion coexist in great harmony. This time, the Scottish artist Peter Doig collaborates with Kim, giving his own contemporary stamp to the garments.

Much of the inspiration comes from the ceremonial uniforms worn by decorated military officers.  Green does not even appear, it is the colors of Doig’s work that Dior has chosen. Everything is about this association, including the decor of the digital fashion show.

In short, a return to men’s haute couture that is more than evident in the details.
