Givenchy and Disney present a new capsule collection starring Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit. The reason? To celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company.
Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit emerges from the Disney archives 95 years later as a symbol of pop culture and to welcome the Year of the Rabbit. Oswald was the first animated character in the history of animation and was created by Walt Disney and the studio’s artists as a precursor to Mickey Mouse.
Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams has been inspired by cities around the world such as New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Tokyo when designing this collection. The designer has worked with Disney to create this unique “world tour” that fuses Oswald‘s mischievous and energetic character with Givenchy‘s aesthetic in a capsule collection of pieces that portray the spirit of adventure.
The Disney x Givenchy capsule collection will be available at the French house’s own shops from 30 December as well as at www.givenchy.com.
