In the projected images you can recognize the characteristic sunglasses and the straight haircut of Wintour, who appears laughing with a hellish look, revealing rotten teeth and exaggeratedly wrinkled skin.
Wintour’s shadowy image was shown during Drake and 21 Savage’s 2022 collaboration ‘Jimmy Cooks’. The feud between the two rappers and the Vogue editor-in-chief dates back to the release of their joint album ‘Her Loss’ in November 2022. The pair were sued by Condé Nast after creating fake Vogue covers to promote the album.
The lawsuit was settled in February this year, according to Billboard, with a settlement that includes a permanent injunction prohibiting any further use of Condé Nast’s Vogue trademarks, and payment of an undisclosed financial amount by Drake and 21 Savage.
“Vogue magazine and its editor-in-chief Anna Wintour have had no involvement in Her Loss or its promotion, and have not endorsed it in any way,” the lawyers noted in filing the lawsuit, pointing to an Instagram post in which Drake thanked Anna Wintour for her love and support. “Condé Nast also did not authorize, much less endorse, the creation and widespread dissemination of a counterfeit issue of Vogue, or a counterfeit version of perhaps one of the most carefully curated covers in the entire publishing business.”
