Drake has shown off the new version of his private jet Air Drake, a Boeing 767 valued at $185 million, through a video posted on his Instagram account this Sunday, July 20.
The 38-year-old rapper explained that he received the plane in 2019 as part of a deal with Cargojet. At the time, the aircraft sported a custom exterior paint job designed by Virgil Abloh. “It was vintage and pink,” he commented. Now, in his words, they’ve gone for a “more luxurious and cozy” aesthetic.
During the video, Drake shows off several areas of the plane. His private bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a main lounge with ample seating and pillows, a game area and a screening room. “When I got my plane, it was in a hangar. It was probably one of the craziest moments of my life.” He didn’t quite believe it until AJ assured him that he would get him the biggest plane in the world, as if it was him and the president, and nothing else.
The released content also shows reference images and presentations prior to Abloh’s design, as well as plans for a second aircraft under the name Air Drake 2.
