When have we ever lacked a touch of humor in any Dsquared2 season? Well, the Pre-Fall 2024 was not going to be any less. This time the brothers Dean and Dan Caten have been inspired by American horror comedy Cocaine Bear for a collection that takes us on a journey to the brothers’ Canadian roots.
Known for their irreverent and playful designs, DSquared2 takes us on an expedition through the Canadian wilderness with their new collection, always keeping their mischievous touch. In every detail of the collection, it’s as if the Cocaine Bear has left its mark, observing the details of the garments such as the meticulously embroidered scratches that adorn patches and worn garments. The bear’s furry face appears woven into sweaters and T-shirts. Elsewhere, the red crystals suggest somewhat bloody encounters in the middle of the forest, to mimic the bear’s blood stains on his almost .
In the Caten brothers’ universe, mischievous nuances are never left out of the equation, which is why we find navel-baring tops and ultra-short miniskirts for her, and hoodies playfully cut to expose the torso over cargo pants that rest low on the hips for him. Beyond the amount of coat layering, a devotion to textures is apparent, with looks that mix nylon, denim, flannel….
