This isn’t a collaboration, but rather a meeting of two cultural forces that, through different languages, have defied time and convention. Diesel and Eastpak don’t engage in dialogue: they collide. From this impact, a collection is born that not only accompanies the contemporary traveler, but also makes them the protagonists of a narrative of freedom, resilience, and audacity.
Since 1978, Diesel has sculpted an imaginary world where denim ceased to be woven and became a manifesto: rebellious, independent, indomitable. Eastpak, in parallel, has elevated the notion of luggage to an iconic design object, a symbol of durability and radical pragmatism. Today, their worlds intertwine in a proposal that subverts the ordinary and translates it into cult pieces.
Eastpak’s archetypes—the Day Pak’r, the Shoulder Bag, the Springer belt bag, the Shop’r Tote, and the Transit’r—emerge here, reconfigured under Diesel’s provocative lens. Trompe l’oeil prints that play with visual illusion, logos that are deconstructed to reveal new identities, material contrasts that oscillate between the real and the imaginary. Each piece is simultaneously a functional object and a conceptual artifact.
The trompe l’oeil print embodies the Diesel spirit in a hyperrealistic way: multiple pockets, eroded textures, the legendary coin pocket. The Transit’r, in its S and L versions, transcends its utilitarian nature and verges on the sculptural gesture, with pockets that alternate between the tangible and the illusory. Materiality also becomes a territory for experimentation: raw denim confronts the solidity of Cordura, generating hybrid surfaces where imperfection, rawness, and resistance coexist.
This collection doesn’t seek to please: it proposes. It doesn’t respond to a trend, but rather dismantles it. Diesel encourages living with irreverence; Eastpak ensures permanence. Together, both brands design a new ritual for nomadic life: pieces designed to endure, but also to be seen, questioned, celebrated.
The Diesel x Eastpak collection launches on August 28 and will be available at Eastpak.com, Diesel.com and selected retailers of both brands globally.
