Eastpak launches its first collaboration with independent fashion label, AVAVAV, with an innovative collection previewed at Milan Fashion Week. The collaboration fuses the style codes of both brands, drawing inspiration from AVAVAV’s luxurious streetwear style, marked by creative freedom, humour and entertainment, as well as Eastpak’s Built to Resist attitude and functionality.

Eastpak’s iconic designs are multiplied and reshaped into edgy silhouettes that incorporate durability and fun, eye-catching details. It all started with Eastpak’s iconic backpack: the Padded Pak’r. AVAVAV creative director Beate Karlsson admired its organic shape. Together, the two brands deconstructed and multiplied it to create four new designs defined by a unique shape and necessary functionality.

AV Double Pak’r

AVAVAV x Eastpak goes double with a collaborative twist on Eastpak’s quilted Pak’r backpack. With two handles and two zipped front pockets, it offers twice the functionality of Eastpak’s original design. Additional features include a 16-inch padded laptop sleeve, an integrated organiser with a mesh compartment, a mesh water bottle pocket and padded, adjustable shoulder straps.

AV Reader

The Eastpak Padded Pak’r backpack multiplies, resulting in a utilitarian travel bag for weekend adventures. This functional design features a spacious main compartment with an interior zipped security pocket for valuables and an adjustable shoulder strap. The front of the bag features four backpack-like compartments, each with its own zipped or mesh front pocket and carry handle.

Av Bum Bag

The Eastpak Padded Pak’r backpack multiplies into a handy fanny pack made of water-resistant fabric. What looks like three mini backpacks are actually three compartments, each with its own zipped front pocket for small essentials and a carry handle. The adjustable, detachable shoulder strap allows you to carry it cross-body or over the shoulder.

Av Mini Bag

This AVAVAV-inspired silhouette with sculpted curves takes centre stage in any look without sacrificing functionality. It features water-resistant fabric, protective foam padding, a zipped front pocket with carry handle, an extra-long reflective zip and an adjustable shoulder strap. Wear it over your shoulder or carry it by the handle, day or night. The Av Mini Bag is available in black, white and green, with detailed finishes including embroidery on the back panel and a moulded metal zip.

The four styles AV Double Pak’r, AV Reader, AV Bumbag, AV Mini Bag and will be available on 4 June 2024 in selected retail shops and online.
