EleVen By Venus Wiliams merges with Lacoste aesthetics

Highly competitive athlete. Entrepreneur. Advocate for gender equality. Venus Williams is a pioneer, her impact and influence transcending the world of sport. Lacoste ambassador from 2022, the icon unveils a capsule in which her brand EleVen By Venus Williams merges with Lacoste.

Lacoste continues to set its collections in a lifestyle world, where fashion and sport come together. Here, the crocodile brand’s expertise is showcased in a women’s collection for the FW23-24 season on which Venus has been working for more than a year. Photographed in New York, the collection is born among the skyscrapers. Always on the move, the city that never sleeps became the best backdrop, symbolising the endless possibilities that Venus represents.

A total of 18 pieces make up this capsule, including a nylon tracksuit and a striped short-sleeved polo shirt – Venus Williams’ favourite garment. The iconic V-neck knit jumper, reimagined with an XXL version of the crocodile, is also part of the collection, as well as a board skirt and a fleece jumper with the phrase “Venus did it first” – a nod to René Lacoste’s witty character. A collector’s item completes the capsule: a two-tone ribbed varsity jacket.

Although this is a largely feminine collection, the pieces have obviously been designed with a genderless vision. “L”, 1933 and the crocodile: the pieces in the collection are embroidered with patches inspired by Ivy League logos. The capsule represents the team spirit that Lacoste has supported since its founding 90 years ago.
