Elon Musk wants to eliminate the block function in X

Musk responded to a question posed by a user, who questioned, “Is there ever a reason to block rather than mute someone?”

Musk’s response indicated that the ability to block other users would be removed entirely, because it lacked justification, except in cases where you want to block someone specifically to avoid receiving direct messages (DMs).

However, a possible contradiction in the feasibility of implementing this has been raised. Readers of Musk’s message pointed out that omitting the blocking feature on the X platform could violate policies set by Apple’s app store (App Store) and Google’s app store (Play Store).

The message states, “If the ability to block users were removed, X would violate App Store and Google Play Store policies.” It adds, “Potentially, this could lead to the removal of X from these platforms.”

On the other hand, this is Elon Musk’s latest project: the Tesla drive-in restaurant.
