Having initiated an exquisite creative dialogue in 2023, Emporio Armani and Our Legacy Work Shop open a new dimension with the addition of womenswear within the SS25 capsule collection.
The collaboration, born of a deep mutual respect for the codes of temporality, unfolds a language where the past is not replicated, but transformed. Under the sun of the Sicilian island of Pantelleria, Giorgio Armani‘s personal retreat, acclaimed photographer Alasdair McLellan captures a campaign that breathes calm, light and Mediterranean nostalgia.
At first glance, the garments emanate that quiet luxury style that defines both Italian heritage and Swedish aesthetics. But if we dig a little deeper, we discover a fascinating textile archaeology: vintage Emporio Armani fabrics, recovered and reinterpreted through a look that prioritises longevity and the beauty of imperfection.
‘Designing within the boundaries of what already exists is a challenge, but also an opportunity,’ says Christopher Nying, creative director of Our Legacy. ‘These fabrics have history. Seeing them return in a new form made the whole process unexpectedly rewarding.’
