Under the title “The Wild Brunch”, Eli Russell Linnetz revisits the narrative of men’s fashion.
From his native California, the designer unfolds his most chaotic and theatrical vision to date. This time, the inspiration comes straight from B-movies, those cult films full of action, grime and unhinged characters. And the result is a story told in the form of torn garments, handcrafted leather jackets, sunburnt denim and silhouettes that look like they’ve survived an explosion.
Thus, the name “The Wild Brunch” comes from a fictitious band: the Dudley Dozens, twelve mercenaries reconverted into sensual, unpredictable and lethal anarchists. A sort of mixture between Point Break, The Warriors and a dream illustrated by Tom of Finland. It is just that.
For the first time, ERL collaborates directly with an artist: Peter Berlin, photographer, performer and living legend of male eroticism. His explicit aesthetic, charged with homoerotic tension and visual power, becomes part of the collection through T-shirts with vintage graphics, hand-illustrated braces and Swarovski crystals.
