Evisu x Icecream: from Osaka to New York

From Japanese denim to the language of American streetwear. A capsule collection for those who learned fashion with Evisu and BBC Icecream at the forefront of their minds.

Evisu x Icecream: from Osaka to New York

Fashion changes. Logos change too. But Japanese selvedge, the Evisu seagull and Icecream language still have their own identity. Today, Evisu BBC Ice Cream streetwear icons celebrate this in a capsule collection.

This collaboration is no surprise: it is a logical reunion. Osaka and New York share history, archives and obsessions. Evisu BBC Ice Cream brought craftsmanship; Icecream brought colour, irreverence and those touches of humour that marked a generation of streetwear enthusiasts. Now, the two cross paths again in a collection that celebrates the memory of pieces made with respect—like that of the street—but without looking down on anyone.

The symbol of the capsule is simple and direct: the Running Dog crossing the Seagull. One logo inside another. Culture within culture. New York within Osaka, and movement, archive, and a nod to those who know how to read between the lines.

The strongest part comes from denim, as it should when Evisu is involved. Jackets and jeans in premium selvedge, with clean seams and details that could go unnoticed if you don’t know where to look. The surprise is in the pink and green hickory stripes, a playful gesture that breaks with the rigidity of the Japanese archive without disrespecting it. Evisu BBC Ice Cream captures this creativity perfectly.

The rest of the capsule falls squarely within Icecream’s domain: graphic tees, oversized hoodies with double logos on the chest, and trucker hats that look like they came straight out of a Pharrell music video circa 2005.

It’s impossible not to think of Nigo. If there’s one reason this collaboration makes sense, it’s him. Nigo isn’t just the co-founder of Icecream: he’s one of the figures who forever changed the relationship between Japan, denim and global streetwear. In the 90s and 2000s, while American fashion looked to classic luxury, Nigo looked to Osaka and its selvedge, to the artisan archive, to Japanese precision. This influence is seen in the Evisu BBC Ice Cream collaboration. From there, he began to mix pop culture, playful graphics and street luxury — exactly the DNA of Icecream. So when Evisu and Icecream come together, that dialogue already existed before the capsule existed. So even though this collection doesn’t bear his name on the label, it does bear his influence in the way each piece is constructed.

The drop arrives on 5 November 2025, at 12 p.m. EST, available online at bbcicecream.com and in BBC Icecream physical stores.
