Felipe Pantone challenges digital perception in new Lisbon exhibition

Felipe Pantone redefines hyperstimulation as a creative canvas in his latest solo show presented by Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon.

Felipe Pantone challenges digital perception in new Lisbon exhibition

In this exhibition, the Argentine-Spanish artist fuses his unmistakable optical style with ubiquitous technology, exploring what emerges when time becomes a continuous screen. Through a dynamic mix of light, colour and geometry, Felipe Pantone transforms the digital error into an aesthetic experience, challenging perception.

For Pantone, colour is a collective act. In Perceptual Phenomena, Color Spaces, Structural Honesty, his works-which span painting, sculpture and installation-compose a visual language that reflects an ever-changing reality, like an unstoppable current. Each piece stands as a microcosm, oscillating between textures and chromatic palettes that seem to pulse in tune with contemporary digital life.

The exhibition is an ode to the evolving relationship between humans, light and colour. Inspired by his past in graffiti and street art, Pantone invites the viewer to dive into his sensory illusions. Facing the mutations imposed by a world dominated by screens, his work pushes us to reconnect with the tangible.

‘Everything is floating, interconnected like life itself,’ says the artist about the exhibition. ‘Every action provokes a reaction. Some things stand out more, but it’s the invisible connections that hold everything together. Don’t ignore them. Everything depends on something else. Make it better, don’t break it’.

Perceptual Phenomena, Color Spaces, Structural Honesty will be on view at Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon until 26 October 2024.
