Fendi’s family history in seven fragrances

Fendi’s first fragrance collection is inspired by and pays tribute to the main members of the Maison.

Fendi’s family history in seven fragrances

The collection begins with a perfume, named ‘Casa Grande’, inspired by the matriarch, Adele Casagrande. It was she and her husband, Edoardo Fendi, who started the brand in 1925 with the opening of their leather and fur shop in Rome. The fragrance captures the essence of their beginnings by combining notes of vanilla, tonka bean and leather.

The next is ‘Dolce Bacio’, inspired by his daughter, Anna Fendi. The third fragrance, ‘Perché no’, is dedicated to Silvia Venturini Fendi, the creator of the iconic Baguette and Peekaboo bags.

Her daughters, Leonetta Luciano Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi inspired ‘Ciao amore’ and ‘Sempre mio’ respectively. Both perfumes are described as warm and sweet, blending orange blossom with a deeper note of cedar wood. ‘La Baguette’ is dedicated to Delettrez Fendi’s twin sons, Tazio and Dardo Vascellari Delettrez Fendi.

The latest fragrance, ‘Prima Terra’, is inspired by Kim Jones, the brand’s creative director. It is inspired by his childhood memories and pays homage to southern and eastern Africa with notes of rosemary and moss.

FENDI’s new fragrances will be launched on 20 June.

FENDI is committed to urban biodiversity.
