Filippa K presented its latest Fall/Winter 2023 collection in Copenhagen, inspired by skiwear from the 1970s.
For Fall/Winter 2023, creative director Liisa Kessler is inspired by Werner Herzog’s 1974 documentary The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner, which chronicles the success of legendary athlete Walter Steiner. A story of how an athlete overcomes his limits and creates a new dream.
The FW23 collection is inspired by outerwear with athletic motocross touches redefined by Kessler. Steiner’s iconic ski suit arrives in a close-fitting design, while pastel shades dominate fur coats, half-zips and après-ski-ready attire.
The launch includes velvet ensembles paired with denim sherpa coats, aviator jackets and patent leather ensembles. Trench coats are paired with ultra-short motocross jackets and wool jumpers with balaclavas. Flowing dresses completed FILIPPA K FW23.
