In addition to model, chef and musician Gabbriette and Real Madrid professional footballer Eduardo Camavinga, Zalando‘s latest Spring/Summer campaign also features multi-instrumentalist and producer CKTRL, TikTok sensation and model Alex Consani, and crochet creator and producer Henri Purnell.
Offering insight into the quirks and passions of these five creatives, the “Your Way” campaign celebrates the unique characteristics that define each individual and explores how our personal stories can not only shape our style, but also our identities.
These are the main SS24 fashion trends and the personalities who have starred in the campaign:
Inspired by the gothic trend that has reigned on the catwalks the last two seasons, Gabbriette channels “dark romanticism”. The aesthetic is tough but with a hyper-feminine and romantic touch. As shown in the campaign, the look can be adopted with a halter-neck lace top and a latex mini skirt paired with platform boots. As for accessories, a stack of silver rings and a pair of silver XL earrings are the icing on the cake of a dark romantic.
Taking sportswear to street style, Eduardo Camavinga’s look is inspired by the “bloke core” trend. As worn by Eduardo, bloke core can be achieved with a Nike T-shirt tucked into oversized jeans and a pair of trainers. Paradis is one of many designers who have showcased this trend in their SS24 collections, and with the European Championships resuming in June, this casual look is set to appeal to many more football fans and fashionistas.
When combined with lightweight materials, soft pastels and contrasting vibrant colours bring a ‘modern romanticism’, a trend showcased by designers such as Aknavas and Givenchy in their SS24 collections. As worn by Henri, this look can be teamed with a crochet jumper, light cream jeans and coloured trainers for an unexpected twist. Genderless, crochet and sheer are at the forefront of SS24 menswear.
No overdone designs, tight-fitting garments or more than two colours: Cktrl’s look in the campaign is influenced by his monochrome style and the quiet luxury trend that dominated the SS24 catwalks, with designers such as Ludovic de Saint Sernin incorporating this trend into their collections. Those who identify with the “new minimalism” can master this aesthetic with timeless classics and everyday basics, creating understated yet high-end silhouettes.
