If there’s one thing that defines the DNA of both Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster, it’s their ability to challenge established norms. Now, with the launch of their third collaboration, they take that vision even further with an eyewear collection that looks like something out of a parallel reality.

The drop, which will be released on March 6, consists of 20 designs that reinterpret the shared codes of both brands. From metallic frames to wire-shaped temples and Margiela’s iconic four stitches, each piece encapsulates the cybercore aesthetic. The eyewear series ranges from classic black, gray and havana to more daring shades such as red, ivory and metallic green.

But as with any alliance between creatives with a transgressive vision, the cybercore experience is not just about the product. To celebrate the collaboration, the duo has devised a series of pop-ups in seven key cities, where the concept of the collection is materialized in abstract structures, blurred human forms and translucent materials.

And that journey through the seven key cities began in Milan. On the occasion of the collaboration and the premiere of Gentle Monster’s first store in Italy, located in the iconic 10 Corso Como concept store, the brand offered a first look at the brand’s third collaboration with Maison Margiela.

The collection will be available from March 5 in Gentle Monster’s online stores and authorized distributors, and will arrive in physical stores on March 6.
