Adolescence, that period of transformation and self-discovery, serves as the starting point for Gerrit Jacob latest Collection, entitled “Made in Heaven”. In a tribute to the awkward and complicated, yet crucial, stages of youth. This collection channels the essence of the “turkey age,” fusing elements of childhood with the first hints of adulthood blossoming in us.

Each piece in the collection, presented during the new “Intervention” platform at Fashion Week Berlin, tells a story, from the innocence represented by kitten and horse prints to the more aggressive side of teenage angst. Drawing inspiration from the eclectic and often contradictory décor of teenage bedrooms, Gerrit Jacob weaves a visual narrative that evokes confusion, emotion and nostalgia.

The title itself, “Made in Heaven,” is a nod to Jeff Koons and Cicciolina’s photographic series from the 1990s, which fuses nostalgic kitsch with elements of popular culture. This collection dips into a variety of influences, from the film “Lords of Chaos” to airbrushed magazine covers, creating a visually stunning and emotionally resonant experience.
