Gigi Hadid stars in new Dilara x Heaven campaign

Heaven by Marc Jacobs has done it again. The designer’s most youthful line collaborates with talented London designer Dilara Findikoglu to launch the ultimate summer campaign for grunge girls, starring an almost unrecognisable Gigi Hadid. The model, known for her ability to embody different personalities, is perfectly suited to this visual narrative. Her poses, full of attitude and confidence, enhance each design, turning each photograph into a statement of intent.

The images, captured by Alana O’Herlihy and designed by Danielle Emerso, evoke a sense of futuristic nostalgia, playing with the idea of fashion that is as timeless as it is visionary. The campaign, which unfolds against a backdrop of surrealism and provocation, features Gigi Hadid in a series of looks that alternate between the ethereal and the subversive. With a dark colour palette, the garments combine asymmetrical cuts, innovative textures and ornate details that challenge traditional fashion conventions.

“When creating this collection, I had my high school years in mind, when I was listening to Avril Lavigne, Runaways, Bikini Kill, Girlschool and trying to find my identity by wearing metallic blue Marc Jacobs platforms, gothic lolita dresses and band tees,” says Findikoglu. “I wanted to design a skirt similar to the one I had in high school from Topshop, which was so short that my teacher called my mother and asked her to throw it away, which she eventually did. The print on the corset, illustrated by the talented Sophie McElligott, is a surreal interpretation of what Marie Antoinette’s party would be like. This little wardrobe is really the dream wardrobe of my teenage years and I want them to be every girl’s dream pieces now!”
