Gigi Hadid stuns with new carré haircut

The model, who has recently been spotted with actor Bradley Cooper, has decided to take the plunge and go for a new look by celebrity stylist @mrchrismcmillan. Hadid shared her change of look on her Instagram profile through different publications in which there was no shortage of comments from her friends Hailey Bieber, who wrote the word ‘Obsessed’ or Kylie Jenner, who also expressed her love for this change of look with the word love, among others.

If we analyse her new hair, we could say that it is the ‘carré’ cut, a version of the traditional bob but more symmetrical and square-shaped (all the length is at the same height as the name itself indicates, carré means square in French). This type of cut is characterised by a length that oscillates between a bob and a long bob, helping to frame the face. One of the strengths of this haircut is that it looks good with either a middle parting – as worn by the model – or a side parting.

The carré haircut includes invisible layers, i.e. some strands of the hair are longer than others and are barely visible to the eye. The impression is of a more defined structure with more density. This style can be done with a razor or fine scissors. The movement is always from top to bottom. In this way the ends are not cut off, as is the case with traditional haircuts. As they are covered under a layer of longer hair, they are not visible, but they do create volume.
