Louise Wooldridge of Ampere Analysis describes GTA VI as “probably the most anticipated game of all time” and expects it to be “one of the most expensive ever produced.” The game is set to launch at an estimated price of $100 USD per copy, with projections suggesting it could generate over $1 billion USD in sales on its first day.

Michael Patcher of Wedbush Securities estimates the development cost to be around $1.5 billion USD. Despite this, he expects strong profits for Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company. “I expect a $100 price point for the game,” he states. “It will be immensely profitable. It will likely generate $10 billion in total and an additional $500 million annually from GTA Online.”

According to The Telegraph, Take-Two is currently valued at $40 billion USD, with its shares up more than 20% so far in 2025.

GTA VI is scheduled for release on 26 May 2026.
