Helena Bonham Carter leaves “The White Lotus”

The actress decided to leave the project “due to creative differences”.

Just a few days after filming began on the fourth season of The White Lotus, one of its lead actresses has decided to leave the cast, sparking one of the most talked-about developments in the entertainment industry in recent weeks.

According to TMZ, Helena Bonham Carter—known for her iconic roles in films such as Fight Club and Sweeney Todd—will no longer be part of this new installment, which this time shifts its setting to the glamour of Cannes on the French Riviera.

The creative disagreement appears to have been final. As a representative confirmed, “With filming just underway, it became clear that the character Mike White created for Helena didn’t quite fit.” Far from bringing production to a standstill, the team has already taken action. The character will be rewritten and recast with a new actress, yet to be confirmed, while filming continues as planned.

Despite this setback, the fourth season retains its appeal thanks to a stellar cast: Heather Graham, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, and Alexander Ludwig are just a few of the names already confirmed.
