One more week, from the HIGHXTAR team we are in charge of collecting the best plans to enjoy the weekend to the fullest. For all those without ideas… pay attention, here are our weekly recommendations.

FRIDAY 04 FEBRUARY

Flamenco Queer, Brigid Mae Power, Maria Hein and Nil Ciuró star in Els Vespres d’Hivern, the cycle of emerging artists every Friday in February at the Paraninfo of the historic building of the University of Barcelona, with free admission and prior booking.

SATURDAY 05 FEBRUARY

On 5 February all these restricted areas of the museums will be open to the public free of charge. This is thanks to the In Museu, a unique opportunity to access the forbidden areas of the museums with the help of the professionals who work there. Specialised guides, curators, restorers and archivists are ready to share the secrets of their professions.

SUNDAY 06 FEBRUARY

Foto Colectania presents Face Control an exhibition with more than 20 artists to talk about the bidirectional control that falls on people’s faces: that which each person exercises over the way they wish to be perceived, and, on the other hand, that which the forces of power exercise over our identity, canons and norms. From the work of Diane Arbus, Thomas Ruf and Richard Hamilton, to Trevor Paglen, Broomberg & Chanarin and Shu Lea Cheang.
