HIGHXTAR Weekends | Things to do in Valencia

One more week, from the HIGHXTAR team we are in charge of collecting the best plans to enjoy the weekend to the fullest. For all those without ideas… Pay attention, here are our weekly recommendations.

FRIDAY JUNE 23RD

The techno collective par excellence of Valencia, The Basement, have organized a party to celebrate the first big party of the summer. VORAMAR – San Juan Edition in Veles e Vents, with more than 12 hours of party in 2 environments: INDOOR + TERRACE. Select line-up to welcome the new season, with the exceptional visit of MELODY aka @melowlow from French lands, along with our basement residents and a lot of local talent. You can get your tickets here.

SATURDAY JUNE 24TH

The new obligatory stop in Valencia is the studio of illustrator Africa Pitarch and photogram Andrea Savall: Filipinas (Calle de Filipinas, 5). A cultural meeting space that works as an office, photography studio, illustration workshop, ceramics, event and exhibition space. Just this weekend they have made a flash sales [a kind of flash sales] so that people can go to buy works and fanzines. This time, you can find the projects of Guillermo Beses, Irene Palacio, Raúl Pérez, Jara Ban Herpt, Santi Gómez, Capastrobist, Nacho Errando, Carmen Gray, Álex Gisbert, Cris Bartual, David Zarzoso, Andrea Savall and Rubén Montesinos.

SUNDAY JUNE 25TH

You can not come to Valencia and leave without enjoying a good ‘Esmorzaret’ in El Trinquet de Pelayo, a gastrobar that stands out for its quality local products and its history. And it is also known as the Cathedral of Valencia pilota. El Trinquet de Pelayo is a special place that combines tradition, avant-garde, sport, identity and gastronomy. The ritual they follow for lunch includes an appetizer (pickles), sandwich (they recommend grilled sausage), drink and coffee (they usually ask for a cremaet).

Another plan that you can not miss in Valencia on a Sunday is to go to the flea market located on Avenida Tarongers and Lluís Peixo. The Valencia Flea Market is a unique experience for lovers of antiques and second-hand objects. With more than 300 stalls, here you will find everything from used objects with minor flaws or breakages to collectibles, there is something for all tastes and budgets.

Fortnite y Nike lanzan su colaboración “Airphoria”.
