H&M proudly announces a unique collaboration with renowned Polish designer Magda Butrym. This project marks a milestone in H&M’s twenty-year history, the first time the brand has collaborated with a Polish designer. The collection is a tribute to Magda Butrym’s heritage, an invitation to enter a world of vibrant and romantic femininity.
‘This collection is an opportunity to invite people into our world and celebrate femininity at its best. Each garment tells a story of Slavic romance, while paying tribute to our own brand history,’ says Magda Butrym.
The main symbol of the collection is the rose, an emblem of femininity that represents strength, softness, independence and ever-evolving beauty. Magda has chosen it for its ability to capture the essence of the contemporary woman: delicate yet powerful, seductive and ever-expanding.
As well as being a celebration of feminine power, the collection commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Magda Butrym brand, offering a reinterpretation of the most iconic silhouettes from her archive. From flowing dresses that evoke the lightness of petals to off-the-shoulder suits and oversized coats, key pieces that define the designer’s aesthetic.
Highlights include a ruffled red dress that evokes the intensity of a bouquet of red roses, a flowing crochet lace dress with a romantic air, and a leather coat in a deep burgundy hue that fuses femininity, boldness and master craftsmanship.
The collection’s colour palette includes shades of pink and red, with bold floral prints. The jersey dresses wrap the body in a modern cut, while the accessories feature floral heeled sandals, silver crystal floral earrings and silk scarves that reinterpret Polish femininity with an elegant and contemporary approach.
‘We are excited to bring Magda Butrym’s captivating and poetic universe to the public. The collection radiates vitality and joy, and reflects Magda’s unique ability to reinterpret contemporary femininity in a rich and unique way,’ says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative director.
