In a vibrant encounter between electronic music and avant-garde fashion, DJ HorsegiirL and renowned footwear brand MIISTA joined forces in an unprecedented collaboration during the Sónar 2024 festival. The fusion of HorsegiirL’s immersive beats with MIISTA’s innovative style created a unique synergy that captivated all attendees. MIISTA dressed the talented DJ in pieces that reflected the essence of her music and personality. Each piece chosen for HorsegiirL perfectly complemented her energy on stage and her magnetic presence.
MIISTA founder and creative director Laura Villasenin said: “At MIISTA we are constantly inspired by women who push boundaries and experiment with their art. As someone who works outside the realm of homogeneity, HorsegiirL is definitely one of them. The entire outfit was made in close collaboration with HorsegiirL, from the riding boot-inspired footwear to the horseshoe beads on the lace gloves. It was amazing to see how our production and design team in Spain believed in our ideas and really captured who HorsegiirL is in the pieces.”
Laura continued: “From the factory to the stage, this project was full of fun. It was a dream to bring our collaborative vision to life at the Sonar Festival, in the city that hosted our first shop. We’ve been watching the festival continue to evolve and bring the best of the underground to the surface for over 30 years. It was special for us to participate in a new way this year”.
The collaboration between HorsegiirL and MIISTA at Sónar 2024 not only marked a milestone in the intersection between music and fashion, but also demonstrated the importance of creativity and innovation within the music scene. Undoubtedly, this union promises to continue to inspire future generations of artists and designers to explore new horizons and break creative boundaries.
