Last Saturday, Spanish cinema once again dressed up for the occasion with the celebration of the 2026 Goya Awards, the most important event in Spanish cinema. It was a night that not only recognised the best performances, directing and screenplays of the year, but also consolidated new generations of talent who are beginning to write their own history within the national film scene.

Among the names that stood out in this edition was Hugo Welzel, whose role in ‘Enemigos’ earned him a Goya nomination for Best New Actor. With a career that he has built step by step, Hugo represents a new generation of actors who approach their craft with sensitivity and a willingness to take risks.

We took advantage of such a special occasion, where cinema meets fashion, music and art, to talk to him about the Dior total look he chose to wear to the ceremony.

HIGHXTAR. (H) – First of all, congratulations on your nomination. How are you feeling right now?

HUGO WEIZEL (H.W.) – I am very excited and very happy to see that my dreams have long since become reality.

(H) – What were you doing when you found out you were nominated for Best New Actor?

(H.W.) – I was waiting to see if something I was really excited about would begin.

(H) – Do you follow any rituals the day before an important event?

(H.W.) – Enjoy every moment.

(H) – What is the best thing that “Enemigos” has given you?

(H.W.) – A lot of learning. It was the first project that placed the responsibility for the story in my hands.

(H) – You’ve chosen a total look from Dior for this special occasion. Tell us about it.

(H.W.) – I saw a beautiful double-breasted tuxedo. It feels and looks incredible. It is very elegant and composed. It doesn’t seek attention, it highlights my figure and represents me.

(H) – If you could describe it in one word, what would it be?

(H.W.) – Beautiful.

(H) – What do you think your style and the Maison have in common?

(H.W.) – Commitment. Personality. Identity.

(H) – What does it mean to you to be wearing Dior tonight?

(H.W.) – It’s my first big night out. I will never forget the confidence and comfort that Dior gave me on this special night. Whenever I remember this night, I will wear Dior.
