As September arrives, Apple is once again dazzling the world with its latest and most innovative iPhone, along with other cutting-edge gadgets. At the 2024 event, dubbed “It’s Glowtime,” the Californian firm unveiled its new features in a livestream from the iconic Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park.
As expected, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The standard model sports a 6.1-inch display, while the Plus unfolds with an imposing 6.7-inch screen. The big news is the action button, previously exclusive to the Pro models, now customizable to suit each user’s preferences. Both models feature the powerful A18 chip, which powers Apple’s new Visual Intelligence: simply focus your camera and let AI teach you everything about what you see. New shades in the line include “Teal,” “Pink,” and “Ultramarine.”
Of course, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max also made their debut, with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively. Available in sleek colors like “Black,” “White,” “Natural,” and “Desert,” these advanced models are designed to power Apple Intelligence, the in-house AI system revealed at this year’s WWDC. Powered by the A18 Pro chip, these phones promise superior speed and top-tier cameras, including a 12MP telephoto and ultra-wide camera.
On the audio front, the new AirPods 4 arrive with a similar silhouette to their predecessors, but promise a more comfortable fit. The H2 chip elevates audio quality and spatial sound, though active noise cancellation is offered as an additional option.
For watch enthusiasts, Apple has launched the Apple Watch Series 10, lighter and thinner than ever. With a larger, more rounded display and 40% improved brightness, this model incorporates advanced software features powered by Apple Intelligence, including a tool to detect sleep apnea.
While some were waiting for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple surprised with a new finish for the Ultra 2. This rugged outdoor watch now comes in a sophisticated “satin black” titanium finish.
