Islands Espadrille: The handmade boot by CAMPERLAB and Ethical Fashion Initiative

CAMPERLAB presents Islands Espadrille, a new limited edition handcrafted boot made in collaboration with Ethical Fashion Initiative.

 

The Island Espadrille model, recovered from the Camper archive, features a unique sole composed of two sections that simulate two islands. A CAMPERLAB silhouette made in Burkina Faso (West Africa) in collaboration with Ethical Fashion Initiative. Hand-woven organic cotton is naturally dyed and combined with jute and a LACTAE HEVEA® sole made from the sap of hevea trees.

Camper and Ethical Fashion Initiative first teamed up in 2015, bringing together over 145 years of footwear manufacturing experience with the technical richness and materials of Africa. Textile production, which is mainly in the hands of local women, generates a positive social impact and helps workers access jobs, education and training.

You can find the new collaboration available in two different colours: beige and yellow.
