JAY-Z accused of raping 13-year-old girl with Diddy

Jay-Z, whose name is Shawn Carter, has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside Sean Diddy Combs. Identified as ‘Jane Doe’ she has said the rape happened after she was taken to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party. ‘These allegations are so outrageous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!!! Whoever commits such a crime against a minor should be locked up, wouldn’t you agree?’ the rapper said. ‘These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,’ calling the lawsuit an attempt at “blackmail”.

Before the lawsuit was refiled on Sunday, Jay-Z ‘received a letter from plaintiff’s counsel requesting mediation to resolve this matter’, according to the lawsuit. In response to the letter, the rapper filed his own lawsuit against the accuser’s lawyers. ‘My attorney received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose him as the fraud he is in a VERY public way. So no, I will not give you ONE RED CENT.’

According to the lawsuit, the victim arrived at a party after approaching several limousine drivers to gain access to the event. A driver who worked for Combs facilitated her entry, saying she ‘fit what Diddy was looking for’. The lawsuit continues the story, describing that the minor was taken to a white house, where she was made to sign an alleged confidentiality agreement, but was not given a copy. Once inside, the party was filled with celebrities using various drugs. The young woman was offered a drink that made her feel ‘dizzy, disoriented and in need of a lie down’, so she went to a room to rest.

Shortly thereafter, Combs and Carter entered the room, telling her, ‘You’re ready to party!’. According to the lawsuit, Carter removed her clothes, pinned her down and raped her while Combs and another celebrity, an unidentified woman, watched. The plaintiff alleges that Combs also raped her while Carter and the other woman watched. The lawsuit states that she managed to avoid performing fellatio on Combs because she hit him in the neck, which caused him to stop. After what happened, the young woman grabbed her clothes, left the scene and made it to a gas station, where she called her father.

The lawsuit filed under New York’s Victims of Gender Violence Protection Act seeks unspecified damages. ‘My only anguish is for my family,’ Carter said. ‘My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at an age where his friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain people’s cruelty and greed. I mourn another loss of innocence’.

Combs, meanwhile, is currently facing criminal proceedings in New York where he has pleaded not guilty to charges of coercing and abusing women for years, allegedly with the help of his employees. Prosecutors have said they are in the process of potentially adding new charges. The indictment alleges that he silenced victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and physical beatings. He is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail after being denied bail for the third time in November.
