The world of women’s golf is set to revolutionise fashion with the arrival of the AIG Women’s Open in St Andrews, Scotland. While the destination isn’t exactly a style benchmark, adidas has plans to change that narrative. To do so, it is teaming up with JAY3LLE, the new label created by Johan Lindeberg and his daughter Blue Lindeberg, which debuted this year with a disruptive approach based on one-off launches rather than traditional collections. JAY3LLE makes its first big splash with a week-long collaboration with Swedish professional golfer and adidas athlete Linn Grant.
The capsule includes everything from bomber jackets and tracksuits to footwear. ‘I have always sought to modernise golf through fashion,’ says Johan Lindeberg. ‘This collection captures the inclusive energy and community that is growing in the sport, especially among women.’ Those familiar with Lindeberg’s legacy will recognise his style. A clear example is the pleated skort with integrated belt, ideal both on and off the field. Another must-have is the CODECHAOS JAY3LLE shoe, an evolved version of the recently launched CODECHAOS 25, with a high-top design, premium perforated leather, buckle closure and a tee holder.
To see these pieces in action, tune in to the AIG Women’s Open from 22 August. The full collection is available now on the adidas website and in selected shops.
