Jenna Ortega clears up rumours about her possible relationship with Johnny Depp

“I don’t know that person,” she told Richard E. Grant, his co-star in ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘.

The rumours were sparked in the middle of last summer, when gossip blog DeuxMoi began linking the young actress to the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

A year later, Ortega finally broke her silence during a recent interview with BuzzFeed, when she was asked what the craziest rumour she’d heard about herself was: ‘Probably that I was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp and I wanted everybody to leave us alone’ she said candidly. ‘It’s so insane to me. I never spoke on that, I never said anything like that. Articles really do just make up their own quotes but I thought that that was pretty hilarious.’

Johnny Depp‘s representative also denied the rumours in a recent statement in which it was clarified that: ‘He has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega. He has never met or spoken to her. He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be.’
