It was only a few days ago that Jeremy Scott’s retirement from Moschino was announced, and while his next moves are not yet confirmed, it is official that he has partnered with Hyundai to create couture by recycling used car parts.

“When Hyundai contacted me, I was honored and challenged. I love the idea of creating something with materials I’ve never used before. The leftover taillights and seat belts were definitely a first, but it shows that with creativity you can give new life to anything,” the American designer said in a press release. “I think the goal is for the designs themselves to speak to the beauty of our planet and the mission to protect and preserve it.”

Scott creates with the Korean brand a series of futuristic dresses from car wheels, and shimmering garments using side-view mirrors, among other innovative creations. They also use wires from cars to create a colorful ensemble. Hyundai wants to highlight the importance of environmentally friendly manufacturing in this new collaboration for the fourth annual Re:Style campaign.

The collection will be on display in Seoul (South Korea) until April 9.
