Jimmy Choo pays tribute to ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’ for its 30th anniversary

Taking inspiration from the Sailor Guardians, Jimmy Choo has designed an eye-catching collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’ series.

 

Sandra Choi, JC‘s creative director, has teamed up with Naoko Takeuchi to convey the values of individuality and female empowerment through a collection that also focuses on Sailor Moon‘s influence on pop culture and fashion. The result is an exclusive selection of footwear and accessories: Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter boots; Sailor Mars heels; Sailor Venus pumps; Sailor Mercury ankle boots and Sailor Venus platforms.

“To be able to work so closely with Naoko has been very inspiring. This collaboration underscores our shared values, not only of female empowerment but also of fashion’s ability to inspire inclusivity and individuality through personality and self-confidence,” says Choi. “Pretty Sailor Moon is a unique global phenomenon: manga and anime that resonates, that bridges cultures and languages, that speaks to different generations and that unites us all,” she adds.

To complete the launch, a careful communication campaign has been carried out in which the characters of the series invade all Jimmy Choo flagships around the world. In addition, they have counted on the work of the renowned DJ Honey Dijon for the original tracks.

The Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon collection will go on sale on February 14th on the web as well as in physical boutiques.
