Mixing sartorial techniques and couture elements, the creative director continues to focus on the importance of details and textures.
The fourth day of Paris Womenswear Fashion Week kicked off last Friday at the historic Château de Vincennes, located on the outskirts of the capital. The castle was built between 1340 and 1410 and became the largest château of the Middle Ages. Now, a hundred years later, it has been chosen by Jonathan Anderson himself as the ideal location to unveil his new feminine proposal.
The floral LOEWE cubicle was reimagined as an exclusive art gallery decorated with 18 paintings by the artist Albert York. The American artist has served as a great inspiration for this collection, which reimagines some of his most outstanding works through the creative director‘s unparalleled imagination, translating them into puffy jackets, flowing trousers, floral coats, blazers with metallic lapels and satin ensembles, among other attractive options.
A beloved dog that takes over a mosaic-shaped dress made of meticulous beadwork to match a limited version of the Squeeze bag and a signet ring; belts that transform into heeled sandals or special charms in the shape of vegetables. At LOEWE by Jonathan Anderson, everything is possible and nothing is what it seems.
At the same time, the Flamenco bag is presented in a large size and vibrant colours, while the Puzzle is covered in fur and new textures for the occasion.
“I think we live in a paradise. This is a Garden of Eden. It really is. It is. It may be the only paradise we know. And it’s so beautiful. And you feel like you want to paint it.” – Albert York
