The long-awaited studio work by the artist from Cádiz will be released on 25 October.
Having already conquered the international industry with hits such as ‘Zahara’, ‘INRI’ and ‘Zarcillos de plata’, Judeline is ready to continue to establish herself as one of the most dazzling voices on the music scene at just 21 years of age. Her debut album, which has been produced by Tuiste y Mayo, has many surprises and will continue to reflect the passion that Lara Blanco – her real name – feels for her native Cadiz through Spanish and Arabic folk melodies.
‘Bodhiria’ is an imaginary word that comes from the Buddhist term bodhi, or enlightenment, which she refers to as a dreamlike state of limbo. Judeline has created a dreamlike, conceptual album that draws from religion, death, toxic love and the liminal spaces in between.
‘It’s about nostalgia, about being very ambitious and wanting to be somewhere else,’ explains Judeline. ‘It’s a metaphor for the moment I’m living in, everything is exploding so fast and I’m detaching myself a bit from reality’.
Critically acclaimed producer and singer Ralphie Choo has collaborated on several tracks, including ‘Heavenly’, on which Rusowsky also sings.
