If there is one event that sets the pulse of music in Madrid, it is Juicy Sessions. It’s not just a concert, nor a simple jam; it’s a sound laboratory where anything can happen. Its ‘360’ format, where the musicians are distributed around the audience, makes the experience much more visceral. This enveloping arrangement is able to bring the artists closer to the audience and creates an atmosphere where every sound is felt more closely, bringing the ear into a direct connection with the present.
The event, which achieved another sell-out, confirmed that it continues to be the meeting point of choice for national and international artists, where music flows without scripts or barriers. What makes them different is their structure. Travelling through their open jam session, where they invite musicians from all disciplines to share the stage, creating a unique mix of styles and genres that flows with a special energy, turning the audience into witnesses of pure improvisation.
After a first edition marked by a more flamenco air, which featured guests such as Ángeles Toledano, Yerai Cortés, La Plazuela and Paco Soto, among many others, the second edition of the season took us down a different path. In the latter, names such as St. Woods, Marina Reche, Javypablo and Marc Seguí joined the challenge, bringing new emotions and laying bare their music in a more intimate and collaborative format. Special appearances were also made by trumpeters Pere Navarro and Estefane de Souza, who added a unique touch to the songs.
As a base, there is the band composed of Omar Alcaide, Christian Delgado, Juan Arance, Fernando Lamadrid and Ferran Samper, who bring their energy to each performance, where with them, an open atmosphere is created so that both emerging artists and established figures can let loose and share.
With each edition, Juicy Sessions not only redefines the concept of a concert, but also sets a new standard for what it means to connect with live music. The next event will take place on 18 December, promising to be a night full of surprises which further consolidates this event as a cultural reference.
