JW Anderson sets the codes for the modern dancer

The Irish designer returned to London to unveil his latest women’s collection.

Gathered in an emblematic building on the banks of the Thames, we discover first-hand the exciting proposal devised by Jonathan Anderson, where he designs the clothes of a modern dancer and gives shape to an elevated wardrobe with everyday touches. He has used a myriad of vibrant colours and high quality materials such as leather, silk and thick wool to create ruffled dresses with lacy necklines in vibrant colours, oversized knee-length waistcoats, cropped and quilted trench coats, bomber jackets transformed into sweatshirts and shiny bomber-style trousers.

Undoubtedly, the exaggerated and shot leather skirts caught the eye, with exaggerated ruffles that hid the tight tops with which they were combined to simulate a single piece. The footwear also took centre stage, with round-toed boots with an open back zip fastening being one of the most highly praised designs.
