Kawasaki is taking personal mobility to new horizons with its latest creation: the CORLEO, a robotic off-road vehicle that is more than just a machine, it is an experience. With a design of four independent legs that mimic the movement of a horse, the CORLEO fuses motorbike DNA with robotics, taking us to explore uncharted terrain with a unique sense of freedom.
Designed to challenge nature, the CORLEO’s robotic leg system adapts to every terrain, using drive units on each limb to ensure unparalleled stability and shock absorption that smoothes the ride. The rear legs, with an independent swing arm, allow for a smooth and steady ride, no matter how uneven the road, ensuring that the rider always maintains his or her upright and steady posture.
The CORLEO houses a compact 150cc hydrogen engine, a power source that is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. This engine generates electricity to power its robotic legs, while hydrogen is stored in a rear-mounted tank, ensuring a clean and powerful autonomy. Rubber non-slip pads on its hooves ensure a perfect grip, from rocky trails to the greenest fields.
Riding the CORLEO is pure intuition: control is via weight shifts and handlebars, with adjustable footpegs ensuring a natural riding position. The high-tech instrument panel provides all the necessary information in real time, from hydrogen levels to centre of gravity monitoring. In addition, for night-time adventures, the system projects route markers directly onto the terrain, enhancing visibility and rider safety.
Kawasaki redefines mobility with the CORLEO, a concept that fuses biker tradition with robotics, offering a new way to explore and conquer the outside world. Watch the concept video to see how this innovative vehicle takes adventure to a whole new level.
