KENZO SS25 campaign immortalises Brazil’s vibrant culture

NIGO takes us to the heart of Rio de Janeiro this season.

Captured by Johnny Dufort and Frank Lebon, the still and moving images manage to portray the vitality of the iconic Brazilian city through its people, streets and sunny beaches. Each frame seems to dance to the rhythm of the samba, successfully fusing KENZO‘s heritage with the country’s culture.

In this way, the collection becomes a blank canvas where Amazonian influences intertwine with the codes of Japanese culture, giving rise to key pieces such as the KENZO Chiku-Rin Como, a bold reinterpretation of traditional camouflage inspired by vintage kimonos and the brand’s early collections.

Another standout is the Furoshiki bag, inspired by the Japanese wrapping technique, which comes to life in supple Italian leather. It features a unique construction, with fluid knotting and pleats that give it a contemporary look without forgetting its classic heritage.

The campaign celebrates not only the aesthetics, but also the values of freedom and unity that are present throughout the collection’s design. Like the streets of Rio, full of diversity and energy, KENZO‘s garments invite you to move, to dance, to be free. And as always, NIGO continues to build international bridges between its native Japan and the rest of the world’s cultures.
