Of course, 2020 has become a year not to be remembered. The iconic Japanese designer Kenzo Takada was another victim who died of coronavirus at the age of 81. KENZO’s creative director died at the American Hospital of Neuilly-sur-Seine in France.
According to a spokesman for Takada’s luxury brand K-3, the designer was having complications caused by the virus, until he finally stopped breathing. “It is with immense sadness that the K-3 brand announces the loss of its celebrated art director, Kenzo Takada. The world-renowned designer died on 4 October 2020 from complications related to Covid-19 at the age of 81 in the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France,” according to the statement.
Kenzo will leave his legendary archive of colorful graphics and light-filled floral prints forever in the world of fashion. Rest in peace.
