Built by Kenzo Takada himself in 1993, Kenzo House was redesigned by architect Kengo Kuma to transform it into an exclusive spiritual retreat amidst the chaos of Paris.
A sample of architecture that not only inspires but also hides a lot of history within its more than 1,280 square metres distributed in seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two dining rooms, two kitchens, a music room, a studio, a gymnasium and two parking spaces.
The structure stands over a private inner courtyard that is exposed as the ultimate zen space of the home thanks to its composition of cedar wood, bamboo, stone and ceramics. At the centre is a koi pond surrounded by cherry trees, maples, junipers, lichen, mosses, rocks and waterfalls.
Following a minimalist style, free of excesses, it has free spaces that ensure a calm atmosphere where natural light overflows and calm invades every corner.
