Key Trends at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26

The Spring/Summer 2026 season kicked off at the Danish fashion week. While Scandinavian style is known for standing apart from other fashion capitals, clear trends are beginning to emerge. On the streets, there was a rise in polka dots, scarves and flip-flops, and for the first time in several years, these trends were also visible on the Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26 runway.

Elevated Flip-Flops

OperaSPORT presented 3D-printed flip-flops in collaboration with Zellerfeld. ALIS showcased their version, adding metal mesh detailing to the straps. ROTATE closed the season with heeled flip-flops in bright red and animal prints.

Floating Neckties

Forza Collective brought back neckties, worn asymmetrically over shoulders and neck. MKDT Studio and Rave Review continued this trend, with ties appearing to float in the air via some sort of structure.

Fashion as Expression

With presentations from the Swedish School of Textiles and the Royal Danish Academy, oversized silhouettes, exaggerated fabrics and concealed faces stood out. The runway focused on experimentation with volume and form.

Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26 sets the trends that will define the Spring/Summer season.
