Colm Dillane, the eternal dreamer with the heart of a child and an inventive spirit, once again starred in one of the most special encounters at PFW.
Under the title “The Boy Who Jumped The Moon”, the creative presented a parade-poem in the form of a visual experiment, held inside the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In a space more associated with art than with textiles, Dillane introduced us to a universe that oscillates between lucid absurdity and optimistic nostalgia. Because when you are a child, failure is just a pause in the air.
The collection captures that suspended instant, where anything seems possible. And that is when a visual narrative of lunar proportions emerges, woven with printed tailoring, weightless silhouettes and references to school uniforms. The garments seem to be taken from a never-before-published children’s book, in colour palettes reminiscent of children’s pencil boxes.
There were many surprises, both in terms of collaborations and star appearances. Firstly, a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz was unveiled, based on a prototype of the new CLA transformed into mobile art. The vehicle features turbine wings, a rally roof rack, a chrome slingshot and a nod to KidSuper‘s iconic “Kissing Face”.
Alongside this mechanical fantasy, there is also a 13-piece capsule with an experimental vintage spirit, as well as a thermal bag signed by Papa Johns and a capsule that mixes sports aesthetics with Dillane‘s lyrical imagery, by the hand of PUMA.
On the catwalk were two international stars: Ballotelli and Ryan Castro, who made their Paris Fashion Week debut and surprised the audience (which included us).
